‘Courage: noun- the quality of mind or spirit that enables a person to face difficulty,danger, pain, etc., without fear; bravery.’ I got this off Dictionary.com. But they’re wrong. There is plenty of fear involved in courage, it is facing difficulty, danger, pain, etc IN SPITE of fear.
I work on a surgical floor but sometimes we receive patients suffering from cognitive decline.
I do feel bad for patients beginning the early stages of dementia. It's an awful thing. You watch the family go through hell as they watch their loved ones slip away into the depths of their own mind.
