As a co-founder of a Bitcoin startup, I guess I’m obligated to mention Bitcoin’s role in this trend.
I tend to believe that the deep level of mobile payments in Western society is due to some rigid laws surrounding money transfers. This is one of the reasons Bitcoin is so compelling.

It’s still too soon. I would advise Satoshi to wait unil there are 100 million Bitcoin users to redistribute his wealth (if he wants to, that is!).
I have given away many more bitcoins than I own… and sadly my experience is that most newbie Bitcoin users will not only not appreciate it, but actually lose the bitcoins.
