Ugh. Well, after scouring the internet for info I come to one conclusion, most photography information is just a sales pitch. I mean, who am I kidding, most things on the internet are. But nearly every photography blog that’s out there is just selling a new camera. Or a new lens. A new tripod? You name it. Well let’s forget all that about the sales pitches. I’ve had a different hope, turned now into a goal. I’d like to create something inspiring for users/ readers. Something photojournalists have to pause their day to catch a glimpse of. Some magical blog that drives forth the notion that it is certainly not the wand, but the wizard who wields the power. A reinforcement of the fact that one’s skill, eye, and passion is for a reason, and is not something that can or should be tossed into the hands of another to reproduce what they have worked for. Because this is what I believe. That their taste for art, for color, for the depth of satisfaction that comes from waiting, waiting for that perfect sunspot for a chance to capture a profound moment — is invaluable. The motivating peace it brings. Corresponding revelation discovered only upon the capturing and reflection of such an image. A scene designed to be awed upon. A moment that commands respect and appreciation, equal to its beauty and potential.
