There IS a difference, though. I have read a handful of intelligently written things in the New Yorker.
I still cringe every time someone mentions “journalism” or “news site” when talking about Buzzfeed. That shit is just a dumb kid’s picture book.
Others have mentioned “terrifying” and “scary”, but I think it’s fine. It’s capitalism in motion. It’s all about the FB consumer. If they can provide an amazing OTT, great … I’d use it all day long.
But can they do it, I mean really knock it out of the park … and sustain it? I doubt it.
