The Evesham Township Council reluctantly introduced the municipal budget at the June 25 meeting after no moves were made on state Senate bill 1896.
Burlington County Freeholders recently adopted a $199.8 million budget cutting the amount of tax dollars needed to run county government by $6.2 million, making this the fifth year in a row that the tax levy has been reduced.

After managing to cut the county tax rate each year between 2006–2009, the Camden County Board of Freeholders has introduced its second tax hike in two years.
The recent township reassessment shows a $700 million decrease in net ratables since 2006 and a $77,040 decrease in value of the average assessed home.

Appraisal Systems Inc. (API) recently released the township’s reassessment results showing the value of Moorestown property has dropped by more than $800 million since the township’s revaluation in 2007.
