

This is an excellent example of how community projects produce community culture. That culture is self-sustaining and integrates individuals into something bigger than themselves.

Have you had a listen to Kamasi Washington’s The Epic? It is the best pure jazz album I heard in 2015. He also was one of the main creative forces on To Pimp a Butterfly. Since you profess to like jazz, but not “rap” (I would say hip hop)… Maybe take another listen to Kendrick’s album, and look for the jazz within? There was much more than production going on in the studio. ☺
