Canadian singer/songwriter Daniel Caesar first came to my attention at the same time as his fellow singer Giveon, when they were featured on Justin Bieber’s 2020 smash hit “Peaches.” His feature I found particularly…Rock4 min readRock4 min read

Kathy Copeland Padden·2 days agoMember-onlyHappy Birth Year to MeTwenty, count ‘em, twenty groovy jams from 1965 — 1965 was a damn fine year to arrive on the planet. 1965’s musical cornucopia is an embarrassment of riches, so naturally that’s when I chose to enter this vale of tears. I’d even opine that 1965 was the height of the 1960s’ musical brilliance and innovation. …Rock6 min readRock6 min read

AE Stueve·13 hours agoProject 365 Day #158“Swingtown” by Steve Miller Band — “Swingtown” from the album Book of Dreams, released in 1977 It’s taken far too long for Steve Miller Band to make an appearance on this list. To make up for it, I might just include every damn song on their “Greatest Hits 1974–1978" album. Seriously, it is my favorite greatest hits album of all time. And it begins with this solid psychedelic influenced prog rock masterpiece (originally on the albumBook of Dreams) that just pulls you in and does not let you go until it wants to. You can’t escape it’s infectious drum/bass riff. You can’t fight its lyrical exploration of the magical city known as Swingtown. You can’t resist.Rock1 min readRock1 min read
