Ever since we were kids, we have been FOOLED by our parents.
They are liars. They told us that we can do anything if we believe in ourselves — Such a lie.
Alas, our social media systems reward us for short-term wins (ooh, a pretty picture!) rather than long-term growth (oh, you finally finished that novel). It’s almost like we need a new social platform that exclusively rewards the long haul, so people feel like they have feedback worth working toward at the exclusion of short-term distractions.
