Four Tet / Icarus. Scala, Kings Cross, London. 15th March 2003. Stellar evening of top-flight entertainment at London’s Scala. Can’t quite remember who or what what was going on with the improvised set at the start. Did spot the likes of Leafcutter John and Dan Snaith in amongst the players. Icarus turning up the heat with Max MSP madness. And ending with a punchy, loud lesson in dance from Four Tet.

Super_Collider. Spitz, Shoreditch, London. 28th February 2003. Super_Collider? Super_Fun! The incredibly enjoyable collab of Cristian Vogel and Jamie Lidell resulted in some very unique sounding records. Unclassifiable at the time, and even listening now, still sounds just off the scale. Love the fact that they named themselves after an open-source programming language. Support from Gavin Weale who ran Werk Records and Si Begg. All wrapped up in a proper messy night at the Spitz.
