That’s a good point, and one we should definitely consider when designing a flag. The Japanese flag has a similar dilemma, and it’s commonly solved in websites with a pixel stroke around its border. In this critique I tried to keep the contextual applications that they are judged against to those highlighted in the pictured context examples, or mentioned in the guidelines video.
