We awaited eagerly
The innocence of first departed snow,
The cool frost
That would sit upon sleeping earth,
The stiff dinghy
Of slumbering oak-
We awaited eagerly
Our memorial
Of simple times within,
Fritters reaching innately
Towards burning dears
And scorching torso
While mind’s eye conceited
Of blooming fields
And blazing run,
A memorial that humanity
Is always springing forward-
Indeed in peace.
