Since we have used singing so predominantly in worship, many congregations think of it as the only or main expression possible. Singing is indeed commanded, commended and encouraged. But when singing was also big-stage, spotlight glare, celebrity focused, market-driven and the congregation was more spectator than participant, the parts of worship other than singing were neglected, backstage. Maybe now, of necessity, is the time to bring them forth.
