Writing Challenge 2023

It is June 1st. The summer months lay ahead. I will spend the summer alone. I will write because I have nothing else planned. Loners can feel lonely, and I am lonely. I want to smile and have fun but it will take an almighty effort to get there. It is up to me. I might try. I might not. I will rely on the summer sun to lighten my waking hours. I can find joy in the sunshine — it cheers me, on good days and bad.
