15 colleges, thousands of students, and countless tasting sessions is what went behind the introduction of our latest program, Campus Connect. Over the last couple of years, we have worked with many Startups & MNCs to help them improve their products. Throughout this entire time, students (both from culinary sciences and other streams) have been an essential part of our ecosystem. On one hand, companies are able to get interesting insights from a vibrant community, while on the other hand, students get an amazing experience, coupled with occasional internships and job opportunities.

While the majority of these interactions happened in an ad-hoc manner, we’re now creating a structure for everyone to derive the maximum benefit out of it.

What is a Campus Connect Program?

The Campus Connect Program is designed for the students in India to help them become trained food & beverage tasters using Sensorial Analysis.

It’s designed to provide a deeper understanding of why we like or dislike the food we consume. It’ll give directions to assess the areas of improvements in any product. For those who are serious enough, it can also help to identify whether they have the genes to be a supertaster.

Food companies across the world use Sensorial Analysis to get structured feedback on their products. At times, they also employ a panel of supertasters for regular feedback on the range of their products. Such feedbacks are critical as they provide actionable insight for product improvements.

This program will give you a platform to make a headway with the food industry. It’ll provide an opportunity to network with the industry veterans, make your voices heard thereby giving a direction to your careers.

Food tasting, therefore, can also be a career choice!

Alright, what next?

Interested students are required to create a Taster’s Club consisting of 1-2 ambassadors and at least 25 tasters in their respective colleges.

Once a club has 25 members, its ambassadors are required to register it with us by sending an email at campusconnect@tagtaste.com. We will coordinate the activities of the Taster’s Club through its ambassadors.

To begin with…

  • Every club member is required to download TagTaste app (Android, iOS) and signup on the platform.
  • All initial club members will be inducted on Sensorial Analysis by our team.
  • Each month, ambassadors will receive new products to review from us. The club is required to post at least 25 reviews per product on TagTaste to become eligible for next month products.

Snapshots of our journey with students

The program is open to all the culinary, food science and home science colleges. We run this program as part of our commitment to Indian Federation of Culinary Associations (IFCA) to foster better understanding of food sensory framework and food centric insights & research. Some of our partner institutions include NIFTEM, Jamia Hamdard, IHM Pusa, Institute of Genomics and Integrative Biology, Lovely Professional University, Sharda University, Shaheed Rajguru College of Applied Sciences for Women, and counting. Our enrollment criteria is simple- quest for knowledge and a desire to be industry-ready for internships and jobs.

In the past, our students have worked on projects by reputed companies such as Jubilant FoodWorks, Burger King, McCain, Modern Foods, FoodPanda, Sleepy Owl, Auric and many more.

So, what are you waiting for? Get your friends, make your own Taster’s Club and send an email to us at campusconnect@tagtaste.com. Get, Set, Go!
