Registration Open for Reno-Tahoe Senior Summer Games

Athletes 50 and older are encouraged to sign up now for the 2019 Reno-Tahoe Senior Summer Games. The Games will take place from August 14–31, 2019.

Registration is available at least two days before the start of each event via in-person *drop-off or online at Reno.gov/SeniorGames.

The Games begin on Wednesday, August 14 with the Opening Ceremony from 6 to 9 p.m. at Baldini’s Casino. The Games conclude on Saturday, August 31 with the Closing Ceremony from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at McKinley Arts & Culture Center.

Competitors can participate in events such as archery, badminton, basketball skills, billiards, bocce ball, bowling, climbing wall, croquet, fly casting, go-kart racing, golf (and mini golf), horseshoes, pickleball, shuffleboard, table tennis, track & field and more. There will be opportunities to compete individually, with a partner or as part of a team. Competitors will compete for gold, silver and bronze medals according to gender, age and ability.

The registration fee is $30 per person, plus an additional $5 to $50 per-sport fee. The registration fee includes a Summer Games T-shirt, pin and a ticket to the catered lunch, also known as the Closing Ceremony. Additional Closing Ceremony lunch tickets for competitor guests and the public are available for $20.
