The South Lake Tahoe 4th of July parade is one of our favorite events of the year and it’s just a few weeks away!

From Kolotv.com:

“The city of South Lake Tahoe has added a 20-foot eagle balloon to its July 4 parade. It will also have live music, dancers and a food truck park where the parade ends at Bijou Park.

Food served by the food trucks include tacos, Mediterranean food and desserts. A portion of the sales go to the Tahoe Chapter of the American Legion.

“This year we wanted to offer a variety of options to folks who will get a little hungry once the parade is over,” Chris Fiore, South Lake Tahoe communications manager, said in a statement, “We also wanted to make sure we were still supporting our local veterans and are thrilled with the generosity of the people in our area.”

The parade is July 4 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. starting at Ski Run Boulevard and heading down U.S. 50.

The deadline for food trucks to participate and people to enter the parade has been extended to June 21. Click here to enter.
