Among the topics discussed on the live streaming event hosted by Taimi — the world’s largest LGBTQ+ platform that features a social network, dating app, and live streaming were addiction and sobriety, growing up transgender in the public eye, raising a family while advocating for trans rights, building a successful drag and music career, and even cooking a favorite meal.

The world is now a different place, but it is a place where we continue to fight for what is right, stand up for each other, and speak out against injustice. For the second year in a row, Taimi Talks are raising important matters for LGBTQ+ people across this planet. This year, Taimi Talks went off without a hitch.

Opening the event was the one and only Latrice Royale. The drag superstar hosted a delicious cooking lesson that had all of us dancing to the beat, and making away Latrice’s favorite brunch. And yes, everyone’s tastebuds were raving, but Latrice also took time to answer a few questions from the audience.

Following her stream were Jake and Hannah Graf. A trailblazing couple that are not only successful in their careers — Jake is an award winning writer, actor and director, and Hannah is a British Army veteran, the highest ranking transgender officer in the British Army. They opened up about their personal experience being trans, finding love, and building a family. Jake talked about his childhood, shared his photos, and brought up really tough topics of being bullied, feeling alienated, and ultimately pushing away his loved ones. Hannah also talked about her youth and the time in the Army, showed her photos as well, and of course brought up the subject of meeting Jake. The pair were not afraid to shed light on their relationship, and of course talk about parenthood. Their talk certainly gave hope and inspiration to the audience.

Jazz Jennings is one of the most known youth trans advocates in America and around the globe. She was thrown into the spotlight during an interview with Barbara Walters at the tender age of 6. Jazz is no stranger to tough questions, so joined by her brother Sander Jennings, she answered the questions that came in from Taimi users. The siblings talked about their relationship, shared their pronouns, addressed personal questions about Jazz’s surgeries, and more. Their talks was fun, upbeat, and gave a bit of an insight into growing up trans.

Following Jazz and Sander Jennings was Frankie Grande. A familiar face to Big Brother fans, Ariana Grande’s older brother, YouTube personality, actor, dancer, tv host, and a great person overall! Frankie opened up about his struggle with substance abuse, addiction and the importance of addressing that problem within LGBTQ+ community. He also talked about getting and staying sober. He also touched on social media bullying, and how it impacted him. He also shared a SAMHSA’s National Helpline number that is 1 -800-662-HELP. Frankie underlined the importance of surrounding yourself with sober people. His talk definitely gave all of us the encouragement to offer (and seek) a helping hand if needed.

Rounding up the event was a heartfelt and intimate concert by Trixie Mattel. Trixie played her songs for Taimi audience, but she also answered questions and explained the meaning behind her texts. Thanks to Trixie, Taimi Talks ended on a high note!
