About US
Formally established in 2012, TWYCC is a group of Taiwanese youths with a passion for environmental conservation and climate change issues.
We are the first youth environmental NGO in Taiwan. Since 2008, we have participated in Conferences of Parties held under the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) for more than 10 years. Also, we are one of the proactive participants of YOUNGO, the youth constituency within the UN framework.
We believe it is crucial to involve not only public awareness, but also youth empowerment about any kind of climate issues and any decision made in COPs. While taking action locally, we love to share creative ideas with our allies in different countries, making collaborative campaigns either online or physically. Our hope is by doing so, the passion for the environment can spread out, and finally have a positive influence for the future generations.

Scientific evidence has confirmed the urgency and negative impacts of climate change, posing a severe threat to the rights of future generations. As Taiwan undergoes a cross-generational, interdisciplinary, and cross-border transition towards sustainability, Taiwan Youth Climate Coalition (TWYCC) envisions a future where all youth and children are well-equipped with the awareness, knowledge, and capabilities in sustainability, are focused on maintaining a just transition, and are capable of addressing the challenges of climate change.

Our Missions :
The mission of TWYCC is to empower Taiwanese youth to create a positive impact on climate change.
- Policy Implementation: Bring together the climate youth communities in Taiwan and represent youth to facilitate the implementation of policies related to climate change mitigation and adaptation.
- International Alignment: Constantly engage with climate and sustainability related communities around the world to align, with international trends, local pathways towards a resilient society with net-zero emissions.
- Education and Empowerment: Advocate for the inclusion of quality climate change education in Taiwan’s Basic Education system to empower future generations in addressing the climate crisis.
- Career Development: Support young talents in formulating a career strategy around sustainability to help bring substantial impacts towards industries, government, academia, research, and society.
