TWYCC member, Jia-Yi Lin, was invited to host the workshop. In this session, representatives of 350.org Asia, CarbonCare InnoLab’s advocacy team “Climate Sense”, Green Environment Youth Korea (GEYK), and TWYCC spoke about how digital media are used for climate change campaigns and shared their creative experiences promoting climate change education online.

Ellen Cheng, a member of TWYCC, shared how TWYCC uses social media and blogs to promote climate change education. TWYCC also hosted climate strikes online and uses the virtual classroom “Gather Town” and learning-by-gaming platform PaGamO for climate education.

The creative online media and digital approaches that TWYCC uses for online climate campaigns have drawn the attention of other speakers. At the end of the session, Ellen expressed that she hoped the online campaigns could eventually influence the ambition and progress of domestic climate-related policies.

Asia Solidarity Lab 2022 was a two-day online event led by 350.org. The workshop Jia-Yi hosted was joined by more than 70 participants from various regions and countries.
