Creating Leadership through Passion
Passion is an invaluable tool that can be utilised to help drive individuals towards their own personal development. Here at Tai Wānanga TŪ TOA, our music holistic workshops focus on using the creative process of music to encourage and support personal progression of taiohi.
The programme Ngā Kete Aronui provides a range of creative experiences for our taiohi. These experiences include song composition, musical arrangement, instrument tuition, recordings and new single release.
A critical component of Ngā Kete Aronui is the program journal. The journal includes goal setting, conceptualising, planning and self-evaluation. The skills have contributed to the release of our new single; ‘Kia Tū, Kia Ora, Kia Māori.’
Future goals include starting a school band and entering next years Smoke Free Rock Quest / Tangata Beats competition.
