Tai Wananga education offers the opportunity for staff and students to follow their passions. Educators who deliver with passion are more likely to have high student engagement. The following is a snapshot of our shared learning experiences within the natural environment.

“True knowledge is constructed on foundations of experience, everything else is merely information.”

Some of the practices that enrich and connect students in our natural environment is “learning to live from the heart first, so our minds are equally engaged and inspired to receive the abundance of life’s gifts and offerings without fear, anguish or despair. “

These are those moments when passion and purpose meet nature.

Our facilitators of learning convey Maori lore in relation to natures ecosystems and applied sciences

This is the direction that Tai Wananga is taking to support the educational initiatives for the people. The reason for a carefully constructed approach to curriculum delivery is to encourage the students passion for nature as a source of motivation, inspiration and purposeful engagement.

Our understanding and approach as facilitators of learning is all experiences — structured and formal, and unstructured and informal contribute significantly to the personal growth and development of each student. Having a passion for nature creates a powerful connection for personal well being, environmental well being, prolific growth, and positive transformation.

When you know nature, as part of yourself,… you will act in harmony. when you feel yourself as part of nature,… you will live in harmony.
