The GSEA- Global Students Entrepreneurship Awards is the premier global competition for students who own and operate a business while attending college or university, we competed against our peers from around Tanzania.
GSEA supports students entrepreneurs who require much-needed mentorship, recognition, and connections to take their business to the next level of success with their vision of empowering students entrepreneurs to become the worlds most influential change-makers and the mission to give students entrepreneurs the chance to accelerate their success, challenge the status quo, connect to an instrumental peer group and make the greatest impact possible in our community.

TakaCycle, a smart waste collection model and the rewards-for-recycling platform that helps, teach and incentivizes people in low-income communities to fight against urban waste crisis and capture value from their waste; as it is run by students, we participated the GSEA Tanzania and our founder Isack Amini managed to reach the finals with the other four finalists making a total of five finalists for the GSEA Tanzania 2020. Each finalist had to pitch before the judges and the audience to explain and defend their ideas, startup, and entrepreneurial journey.

Mr.Moses Katala from Magofarm emerged as the winner for the 2020 GSEA Tanzania awards.
TakaCycle had a great opportunity to learn, unlearn, relearn, interact and connect with fellow student entrepreneurs, innovators and other recognized entrepreneurs in Tanzania innovation and technology entrepreneurship eco-system at GSEA Tanzania finals.
As we wear our failures as a badge of honor, we are looking forward to the next year's challenge.
