August — Press Release

We’re in the middle of Summer but our efforts to complete the project do not stop: Takamaka is quickly headed towards its final goal and the final release of its blockchain.

New entries

First of all, we are pleased to announce that the Takamaka Team has three new members. Their skills and knowledge, as well as their international experience, will be critical for the strategic development of the project.

Among the new team members are Fulvio Magni, Financial Strategist, and Marina Bottinelli, Blockchain Representative at the Italian Chamber of Commerce for Switzerland. Fulvio and Marina will play the role of Evangelists: their goal will be to disseminate the project, strengthen its values and develop new ideas for a steady growth.

Moreover, we welcome engineer Isacco Borsani as our new Web Developer.

Fulvio, with a proven and extensive international experience in the field of financial solutions and economic opportunities, said:

“Being appointed as an Evangelist by Takamaka is both an honour and a great responsibility.

I’m happy to add a section on Takamaka on my resume and in my network. As I share the same path, vision and strategy as Takamaka, the work of spreading its values becomes a source of pride and inspiration for me.”

On the other hand, Marina has international experience in business management and development. She has been involved, in various ways and with different assignments, in several blockchain projects, a technology whose constant evolution she follows:

“I have followed Takamaka’s progress, and appreciated its value and underlying technology. For this reason I am excited to join and contribute to the growth of awareness towards the project, leading a new phase of expansion and innovation from which I hope all stakeholders will benefit.”

Isacco has a long and proven experience in the role of Web Developer: specifically, he will focus on development and innovation on the web and back-end side of the project, keeping an eye on the integration of edutech of the Takamaka project.

Thanks to these new entries, together with a large ecosystem of partners and a community that is growing around the project, Takamaka is starting a new phase to increase trust and confidence in its technology.

Releases

As you may have read in our articles, Takamaka has finally released the first version of its wallet: an easily installable and configurable solution for both mobile and desktop devices.

The mobile application, available for both Android and iOS, features a new and improved user interface. It can be downloaded from the official website, www.takamaka.io. We are also pleased to announce that the new desktop interface will be released soon.

This new version provides the same features as the current one, but it will look even more modern and appealing. The interface has been designed to meet the needs of any user, as well as to take full advantage of all Takamaka’s features directly from your home computer.

Smart contracts

In order to program on Takamaka’s blockchain you only need Java. Java is a programming language developed by Sun Microsystems and released in 1995: according to GitHub, it’s the second best programming language of 2020.

On Takamaka you will be able to program and develop smart contracts with Java.

We have completed the first phase of testing and development thanks to a team coordinated by Prof. Fausto Spoto, as well as engineers Giovanni Antino (CTO) and Mariano Ceccato, who are happy to confirm that the debugging has been largely successful.

By the end of September, the first version of our smart contract programmable in Java will be released. All interested developers will be able to join the Takamaka community, in order to actively contribute to the project and be fully operational on the blockchain to start new business models.

Our goal is clear: encourage industries, companies, organizations and individuals to recognize in Takamaka the new paradigm, the new layer of trust without authorization, and to benefit from it.

We are working hard to achieve this goal: we are sure you will appreciate our efforts.
