Writing has taken a front seat in my life, but music has an even stronger hold on my heart. I used to perform for audiences in and around the Philadelphia area. Some of my songs were poems I had written that I married to melodies that floated into my brain effortlessly.

It was an amazing and stressful time of my life that showed me how much performing was not a good fit for me, but I am very glad that I pushed myself beyond my comfort level in that regard. It was a huge confidence booster.

While singing and dancing on or off stage, I often experienced a trance-like state that felt sublime. It was my own personal form of worship to the music gods, and I enjoyed every bit of my contribution to it as it poured into me as well.

Roughly 15 years ago, I transitioned from my life as a full-time artist and focused on my new career as a licensed massage therapist. I was in my early 30s and wanted something more financially stable.

Within a few years, I was thriving as a massage therapist and still played guitar, drums, keyboards, and bass with select artists in my home…
