We are constantly reviewing feedback from our users and looking for tips and guidance to help Providers succeed as their own bosses. Here are a few tips we’ve compiled to help you be a 5 star Provider!
Know your skills.
Choosing your skill set is one of the first things you do while registering to be a Provider on Takl. This is an extremely important step. We have 400+ chores available; maximize job opportunities by selecting all job types you are willing and able to do. On the flip-side though, don’t pick a skill for which you lack proficiency. You can tailor your selected skills to customize job opportunities to your interests and strengths. Learn how to add or remove your skills in Takl.
Be prepared.
Have all of your tools for any skills that you have checked and make sure they are in working order.
Timing is everything.
Being on time or even early can help you make a great first impression.
Communication is key.
Make sure you communicate well with your customer. Text them when you are on your way. If possible, check with them before your work is finished to see if they are satisfied.
Go the extra mile.
Always clean up any mess you make! Also, always look around for other ways you could help out by suggesting additional work with +Add Work.
Don’t get caught on the rocks.
As a Provider, you are truly your own boss, the captain of your own ship. You don’t clock in or clock out, you can pick the jobs you want to do, and you get to set your schedule. But as every successful captain knows, rocky waters can be catastrophic. Beware of canceling a job on a customer and accepting payments outside of the Takl platform.
