Kamala Rausan is a retired Principal, was in the vibrant world of students for long 31 years, teaching English. Now she’s doing English grammar columns for Competitive Exams, in Thozhil Vartha, a Mathrubhumi publication. She is a social media buff, apart from writing her deep interests include books, music, traveling. She lives in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala and aperson enjoys to be in her own dream world.

Q. What motivated you to start writing?

A. The books I read right from my childhood days.

Q. How was your first writing experience?

A. Completing a story begins with, “Where are you. .?” My English Teacher’s appreciating comments still echoes in my heart.

A. “Writing is the painting of voice.” by Voltair and “We read to know we are not alone.” by William Nicholson.

Q. What is the most important thing required to be a writer?

A. A beautiful mind full of imagination.

Q. Your advice to aspiring writers?

A. Write from your soul.
