What will be any legal concerns that we should take into consideration with our project? Are there any laws that prohibit sharing the videos? Is an authorization form signed by the parents all that is required?

It will be important to made clear who take the videos of the kids. If the parents take the videos an upload them themselves there won’t be a problem.

It is important to answer the following questions: Will the videos be accessible to people outside the portal? What if the parents only want them to be accessible to the recruiters but not the rest of the world? Can you control that? are the videos property of the parent’s or can the recruiters use them and show it to other people? Can they download them? How similar will you want to be to YouTube in that regard?

Additionally, there must be a way to protect the videos from being edited and modified. Even parents could trick the recruiters by editing the videos. An authorization form and a disclaimer that the information hasn’t been edited will be enough.

Make sure that the clubs/academies agree on having their name, shirt, players, games, etc recorded on video and posted on the internet and available to everyone.
