August 2018 Newsletter
Under the heat of the blazing sun, I greet you! Whether you are at the beach, the lake, the river or the pool, I hope the warm sun and cool waters have kept you close company. For those who are heading back to school, stay focused, stay smart and try to have fun!
This month at the Mana Pool, I have found myself breaching the halfway point on my first novel. It’s the first in a lengthy epic fantasy that is planned across many other novels, and I have been very excited to see it come alive as I pour the words onto the page. The series will be titled ‘The Enlightenment Archive’. It has been a great personal success that has helped forge the beginnings of who I want to be as a writer and an author moving into the future.
Aside from the Enlightenment Archive, I have a plethora of other projects that are being worked and will slide into play as soon as I am finished with this first novel. These other projects include a number of short story collections, children’s books, and the first of another epic novel series. While most of the world is outside enjoying well-deserved fun in the sun, I have continued to keep my nose to the grindstone in the hopes that I can get these projects fully forged.
Research has been my focus this month. As the summer sun sets, I have begun to feel the pressure to prepare for the next phases of the process to ensure my first projects can be produced. Writing is only one aspect of the game.
As part of this endeavor, I have made myself ready for editing, copyrighting, illustrations, and publishing, well ahead of time. It should be a few years before any of this will come to light, but I want the process to flow as smoothly as possible. I should be able to meet my own deadlines and provide accurate information to all of you as well because of the planning.
If you’d like more information, please visit my website (my name) and check out what I have going on. A ton more information, specifically catered to each project, can be found there, in addition to general updates and other fun things. If you’d like to get in touch with me for general inquiries or are looking for potential release dates, my contact information is also listed there.
And now, I need to be getting back to my very large stack of digital files that need to be finished. Peace out, and enjoy the remainder of summer!
