Drone Log: Day 4–5:
Skies closed over NJ.
Missed a day yesterday. Other things to do.
The media was getting sparse on the coverage though.
But the last 24 hours have been interesting.
Now they have closed several cities’ air space.
All the press says there is “authorization” to use “deadly force” but I can’t find the FCC NOTAM that says anything about that. If anyone is more proficient at searching TFRs or NOTAMs let me know? I see absolutely nothing about anyone being allowed to shoot down anything yet.
There are just drone flying restrictions all over NJ and near the borders.
The Senate just shot down a bill giving the government more power to track drones. Sen. Rand Paul expressed concerns about government overreach into people's privacy and voted for its failure.
Not too much out there about what these things are doing.
Rumors still seem to be trending toward a search and rescue for a broken arrow nuke device of some kind.
There also seems to be a type up there that might be CGI but is outmaneuvering all other drones. It often looks like an “orb.”
Fuck I hate “orbs.”
Often they are nothing more than cameras being out of focus on something distant or dust too close.
But some of these orbs are pretty weird.
I just don’t know what to think about it all.
Just more chaos that becomes normalized.
