Why hello there! Welcome to Talkback, a place where folks who use Medium talk with folks who make Medium. It’s lovely to meet you.

Why do we need Talkback?

Excellent question! Here’s the rundown.

1. Many of you have made amazing suggestions, pointed out really smart things, and explicitly asked for more of a Community presence. While one of the awesome things about Medium is that the entire company is integrated into the process of building (and building for) the communities on the platform, having people thinking of and about those same communities first and foremost was something we needed.
2. Medium doesn’t exist without the people who are reading, writing, highlighting, sharing. Imagine The Story as the go-to place to find out what’s happening at Medium and Talkback as the place to come to deep-dive into the inner workings of what’s going to happen, what is happening, and what has happened on the platform and talk about it with us.

We have lots of plans for what comes next, but before any of that happens, we need to hear from you.

There are some pretty basic and open-ended questions, but we want to start with a fairly wide open and blank slate and let you fill in the details rather than make a bunch of assumptions.
