Crypto Wallets need Help

One of the biggest problems for crypto adoption is wallets. We already know that crypto assets have a steep learning curve, but choosing a crypto wallet is proving to be an even bigger challenge. The main concern over most solutions is how the keys are stored; most wallet providers require users to trust 3rd parties with their key ownership. There are solutions that let you hold onto your own keys, but some are not user-friendly and feel better suited for users with a strong technical background. We need a solution that provides the security we expect for our money and the ease of use we’ve grown accustomed to with today’s payment processes.

Crypto Wallets have been struggling with

  • Security: The keys are usually stored with a 3rd party
  • Speed: The login and setup process is cumbersome and time-consuming
  • Ease of use: The dedicated wallet apps are not intuitive

Integration might be the solution

BUTTON has this solved by integrating a wallet solution within the safest messenger app, Telegram. One of the first secure multi-currency crypto wallets, BUTTON is housed within the popular, encryption-focused, messaging app, making it the easiest and fastest wallet for quickly sending and receiving crypto. Safe, secure and fast, BUTTON wallet already has more than 80,000 users.

The team behind BUTTON saw existing wallet offerings as just another app, taking up space and storing keys inefficiently. By integrating their wallet functionality into Telegram, they were able to overcome the biggest challenge so far for crypto wallets, User Experience.

Lance Ng wrote a great article about why the end is near for mobile apps, and how bots will be the way we add more functions to the systems we already know. Using the bot in Telegram is effortless, with a guide taking you from start to finish in less than 3 minutes.

Telegram already has 200million users and 90% of cryptoholders use the app, making them the highest value audience for a crypto wallet. As adoption becomes the next hurdle, having a captive audience that is already entrenched into crypto is a benefit that not only helps fuel customer growth, but also product feedback. BUTTON is able to offer a real-time support system for its users, directly from the wallet interface. The symbiotic relationship with Telegram also helps with future functionality and staying up-to-date with features users will be expecting.

Growing with Telegram

Being part of Telegram means that the product will evolve with the entire ecosystem, and the new release of TON is a “ton” to look forward to. With TON, Telegram will be growing it’s own cryptocurrency and building a marketplace for bots, similar to Apple’s App store. The “Gram” token will be used to fuel the marketplace and could quickly become one of the largest held tokens considering the size of their existing userbase.

Saying the BUTTON team is excited for the release of Telegram’s new TON network is an exaggeration; they were expecting this kind of functionality before Telegram even wrote about it. Using BUTTON Wallet’s pre-installed P2P microtransactions service, over 200 million Telegram users will be able to trade and hold crypto. BUTTON Wallet is working to integrate Telegram Passport, a KYC process that will allow users to buy cryptocurrency directly from the wallet. The development of TON will allow deeper integrations and a more seamless crypto user experience that isnt available anywhere else.

BUTTON already has a rich feature set: working within 11 languages and supporting the store and transfer of BTC, ETH, ETC, LTC, BCH and all ERC20 Ethereum tokens without any external fees using BUTTON. Another important feature is security: they don’t store your private keys. “All user’s private keys stored in QR Code and encrypted by his password. If something went wrong you will get information from QR and decrypt cypher with your password.” Says Kirill Kuznetcov, VP of Engineering at BUTTON

Team

The team behind BUTTON Wallet are a group of young hackers who are obsessed with blockchain technology. The BUTTON team has already won more than 10 hackathons including ETH.SanFrancisco and ETH.Singapore . Currently, they are participants in the most recent cohort for the Silicon Valley incubator, Ethereum Classic Labs and are also graduates from MIT Play Labs and Startup Boost LA accelerators. “We are confident we are also going to win at ETHDenver next month” says Button CEO Alexander.
