VMworld17 Europe on the Road

It’s not my first time visiting Barcelona for sure (as a soccer fanatic) but it is definitely the first time for me visiting at #VMworld. After all, you can’t attend all the conferences every year, or otherwise, I will be out of a job I believe. This time it’s different. I have decided to attend #VMworld as there are lots of new announcements and the roadmap looks very interesting. Therefore I thought this time I should be there.

So, what am i looking for this year? I’m looking for the announcements about new and exciting corporations.

The first one I’m interested in is the announcement about #VMware and #AWS cooperation in the public cloud sector. How are they actually planning to do that? Which type of customers are they targeting? The main issue will be around costs and financial issues in my opinion ,but I believe they thought about it before and I’m interested to hear about that more.

I’m looking for the new exciting announcement about #VMware & #Pivotal with #Google on the new #PKS container services for enterprise firms. I already talked to a couple of people in VMware before, asked them how it’s going to look like, but it’s still a blur, I hope this will be more insightful and clearer during these days.

#VMware‘s integration with #OpenStack is also something interesting and relevant to our customers, however, they would like to see something more mature coming when they think about implementing the “Open Source” path. I’m lately getting more and more inquiries about projects of #OpenStack which lead us to understand the value of doing it on top of #VMware as a fully sustained and supported stack.

Finally, the cooperation with #Nvidia. I don’t know how this happened but I am blown away by their products and the area of expertise they are offering. #Nvidia are already dealing and will continue to deal with the major problems in today’s computing challenges, which are the worlds of #AI & #DeepLearning (Read more here )
