Tuesday morning on Talkshow, Matteson Perry talked with Gwenda Bond, Matthew Cody and Andrea Phillips, writers on the serial digital collective Serial Box, along with Serial Box’s director of publicity Leah Withers. The idea behind Serial Box is a cool one: a group of writers are given threads of a story and then put in a room to collaborate and string together all the various directions in which the story could go. The writers then go their separate ways, write their sections of the serialized novel which and then publish the serials in the Serial Box app. Their newest serial, titled ReMade, is a sci-fi yarn that tests the faith, love, and loyalty of 23 teenagers who prove to be humanity’s last hope for survival.
It’s got a self-consciously Lost-type structure, where we get to see characters in very different circumstances. It’s really fun…except perhaps unlike Lost there is…a plan!
