One of the things we love about Talkshow is how easy it is to share your conversations: anyone can tune in on the web in real time, or catch up after the fact. Today we’re bringing a new feature to our shows on desktop web: you can now sign in to participate in Talkshow Q&As.

Talkshow Q&A lets anyone to turn their Talkshow into a fun and simple Q&A with their audience. We launched them in our app a couple of months ago, and we love how Talkshow hosts are using them to bring the audience into the conversation, whether it’s an interview with Tony Zhou of Every Frame a Painting, a freewheeling discussion about the election, or a debate about the rules of a first date. And now you can participate in Q&As from your desktop web browser, without needing to download the Talkshow app.

Check out that “Ask us anything!” area down at the bottom of the show!

If a host has turned on Q&A for their show (as most hosts do!), when you view that show on desktop web, you’ll have the ability to send a Q&A message to the hosts. When you start that process, if you’re not already signed in we’ll prompt you to sign in or create your Talkshow account. Just like in the Talkshow app, we use phone-number based sign in (we’ll text you an authentication code), so you never have to remember a password. And if it’s your first time using Talkshow, we’ll prompt you to create your profile, which you can autofill from your Facebook or Twitter account.

When you send your Q&A message to the hosts of the show, they’re alerted, and your message goes into a queue for them to review and approve. This helps hosts control the flow of conversation, and keep their shows on topic. When your message is approved, you’ll see it appear in the show, because Talkshows on the web update live as they happen.

You can read more about Q&As on Talkshow in our help docs, and if you want to host your own Talkshow (with or without Q&A!) be sure to grab our app and get talking.
