How to set up ERC20 Wallet to store TALO tokens (using MetaMask & MyEtherWallet)

In order to receive your TALO tokens or other Ethereum tokens, you need to have your non-exchangeable ERC20 Wallet ready & send us your wallet address. So what’s an ERC20 wallet?

In the cryptocurrency world, each cryptocurrency or token will require a different type of wallet to store them. ERC20 is the wallet that is compatible for Ethereum based tokens including TALO tokens. Some popular ERC20 wallets include:

MyEtherWallet (no download needed)
MetaMask (Firefox and Chrome browser add-on)
Parity (Desktop)
imToken (Android & iOS)

This post will show you how to set up Metamask ERC20 Wallet (as an add-on on your Firefox & Chrome browser) & MyEtherWallet.

A. METAMASK WALLET

To set up MetaMask wallet, you can take the following steps:

1. Download the plugin:

For Firefox browser: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/ether-metamask/?src=search

2. Create MetaMask account:

Click on the MetaMask icon (little Orange Fox) on the right hand side of your browser to active your plugin
Read the terms & accept to proceed

Create your own password to create an account

You will be given 12 seed words as backup measure to restore your account. Make sure you store the 12 seed words in a secure place. If you remove the add-on and lose your seed words, you will lose access to your funds.

3. Send TALO your wallet address

Your account is now ready. Now you can start sending and receiving ETH & ERC20 tokens from this wallet.

Find your wallet address by clicking on the 3 horizontal dots near your account name. You can either choose to scan it with a QR code or copy the address to the clipboard
You can use your wallet address to register with TALO Crowd Token Sale (CTS) when filling the registration form now. During the CTS, send ETHER from your wallet to TALO’s CTS and you will receive your TALO Token.

B. MY ETHER WALLET:

MyEtherWallet is among the most popular ERC20 wallets around. In order to set up MyEtherWallet to store TALO tokens, you can take the following steps:

Create new account at https://myetherwallet.com/. Make sure to secure your password in a safe place

2. Download Keystore File (UTC/JSON), store it safely & proceed.

3. You will be given your public & private key, keep them in a safe place. Losing your Keystore File & private key will cause you to permanently lose access to your wallet.

4. Whenever you want to use your account on MyEtherWallet, you can input your private key or your JSON file + password (recommended) to unlock your wallet.

5. You can use your wallet address to register with TALO Crowd Token Sale (CTS) when filling the registration form now. During the CTS, send ETHER from your wallet to TALO’s CTS and you will receive your TALO Token.
