What to bring from Estonia| Christmas edition
Heeey! It’s Oryna here.
As the holiday season is approaching and we all start thinking about what to bring from Estonia back home as a present, I decided to help you with that and created my list of “Estonian” presents.
- Handicrafts/Souvenirs
In my opinion, it’s gonna be a great souvenir to bring something handmade like a wooden butter knife, woolen socks/mittens with traditional ornaments or Christmas decorations. You can also take a look at magnets, postcards, figures, plates, bells and etc.
To find them you go to one of the handicraft shops in the Old Town or on the Christmas Market.
2. Food
Personally, I’m gonna be bringing some handmade marzipan figures, that I bought in Marzipana Gallery (or you can also find them in normal supermarkets).
Also, if you wanna bring something more interesting, try canned wild animals’ meat or sausages. You can easily find them in supermarkets like Prisma and etc.
We should not forget that bringing different Kalev chocolates is always an option that is quick, cheap and accessible.
3. Natural Cosmetics
You can purchase various natural products made from local ingredients and produced in Estonia. It can be face/body cream, shower gel, soap, balms, essential oils, candles or whatever else you can find.
You can find them in various stores in the Old Town or shopping malls like Kristiine, Viru, Solaris.
I know that finding presents might be tough and exhausting, but I hope that my shortlist will inspire you and help you to solve this problem ❤
