Tamatem Goes to China!

The global mobile gaming industry has been booming exponentially over the past few years. We have said this time and time again, the MENA region is extremely underserved and the puzzle is yet to be complete. With over 100 million smartphone users in the region, less than one percent of games on the App Store and Play Store are in Arabic.

Working on filling the gap in the market by providing culturally relevant mobile games in Arabic, Tamatem collaborated with several studios and developers worldwide to publish their games in the region. By publishing 40 games, we have gained over 26 million downloads by localizing games and pushing them to the stores. It is exciting to see that most of the games Tamatem published reached the top of the charts across the region.

As of June 29th to July 1st, Tamatem will be taking part and exhibiting for the first time at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in Shanghai, China.

MWC brings together the biggest players in mobile services, providers, and technology. Which will give us the opportunity to rub shoulders with game studios and developers. In hopes of bringing some of these renowned games to the region and make them more culturally relevant to fit the local market.

There will be multiple keynote speakers for the event including president of Alibaba, CEO of Ericsson and many more.
