This will be the year of codifying the various parts of Tampa Bay’s tech ecosystem into one, cohesive whole.

Tampa Bay is Florida’s largest and fastest-growing tech hub, and we are ready to get the word out.

Our board and team at the Tampa Bay Technology Forum (TBTF) is ready to step up and lead this initiative. We have so many great things we are planning for the year to be excited about; however, today we’ll share three new items for 2017 that are rolling out today…

The first is http://tampabaytechwire.com.

Our region has never before had a single-feed news site that just shares the news, stories, press releases and thought leadership from and about our tech hub.

Today that changes.

This feed was built to be viewable quickly from your mobile device. These stories will also be shared in our daily email and via our social presence.

The second is https://tampabaytechjobs.com/.

Our region deserves a better showcase of the outstanding career opportunities available in tech. TBTF members will always be able to post positions for free. Non-members can post for a small fee.

This tool was built to adjust itself on the fly based on where you are standing, optimized for your mobile device. Any jobs posted will also be shared in our daily email and via our social presence.

The third is https://www.meetup.com/pro/tampabaytech/.

At the end of 2016, Tampa Bay’s Tech Meetups banded together to develop a co-op, supported by TBTF, to help develop the ecosystem, support each other, and market themselves as a group.

With the support and partnership of Meetup.com, we are now building the largest regional co-op of Meetups in the US. If you lead a tech Meetup and would like to join us, would like to start a tech Meetup, or if you are a company looking to support or host a Meetup, please do not hesitate to reach out to me directly.

There you have it — the first three of dozens of planned roll-outs in 2017.

TBTF is ready to work with you and your teams to better communicate everything Tampa Bay Tech. Will you join us?

Here’s to an outstanding 2017!
