Adding a Header Picture to you WordPress

Adding a header picture on Wordpress is fairly easy, but having a quick tutorial will make it that much easier.
The first step to adding a picture is by going to your Wordpress site by clicking where your site name is on the top bar.

When you get to the next page, you are going to then click “header image”.

Next you are going to click new image.

This will bring you to the choose file page, and you will click upload file at the top right of the pop up.

You will than click “select file” and choose the photo you want as your header.

Once the photo is uploaded, you will click select and crop.

On this next page, you have the ability to crop your picture however you like.

Once you are done, you will click crop image, and then your picture will now be the header!

A header image is great for your site because it’s the first thing people see, so it allows people to get a quick gist of what the site is.
