This week, the Cardano Project Catalyst Fund 12 voting results were announced, and the community eagerly anticipated which proposals would get funded. As Cardano’s leading innovation engine, Catalyst incubates the next wave of projects that will build and innovate on our blockchain. Funding mechanisms like Catalyst are crucial for sustaining growth and fostering innovation in blockchain ecosystems. Voting Results Announced

On July 16th, 2024, it was announced that the final voting results for Cardano Project Catalyst Fund 12 have been made available, and that 258 proposals have been funded during this current round. The Cardano community together cast a total of 291,737 votes to choose the next wave of innovative projects to build on Cardano. The results of this vote now bring the number of funded projects to over 1800, a sizeable increase from the 1,647 proposals that had been funded at the conclusion of the last round, Catalyst Fund 11. 50,000,000 was made available in total funding across 6 different categories, equivalent to $22,925,000 at the time of the fund launch.

What’s Next?

Now that the Project Catalyst Fund 12 voting results have been announced, funded projects must complete several onboarding steps within 60 days. First, all funded projects must fill out onboarding forms to formally accept the grants and initiate the process. Next, they must submit and get approval for their milestones from Milestone Reviewers. Following this, the projects will undergo a formal due diligence process to ensure compliance with Fund rules and industry standards. The final step requires grantees to validate wallet access by performing test transactions before the first tranche of funding is released.
