In our SPO Spotlights, we highlight dedicated Stake Pool Operators from the Cardano blockchain. SPOs are the heartbeat of Cardano, integral to maintaining the network’s security and decentralization. These operators ensure the stability and reliability of the network by validating transactions and producing blocks. Their operational excellence keeps the blockchain running smoothly and securely. Today’s spotlight is on Digital Fortress (pool ticker: DIGI) and its lead Stake Pool Operator, Rick McCracken, who has been a cornerstone in securing the Cardano network while actively contributing to the community through various initiatives. This article will delve into DIGI pool, its Stake Pool Operator, delegator benefits, and more.

More About Digi Pool

Digital Fortress, based in Virginia, is a family-owned and operated Cardano stake pool run by Rick, Christian, and Kyle McCracken. Since its inception in 2019, Digi Pool has delivered high-performance pools with robust and efficient infrastructure. Combining bare-metal and cloud servers with full 3n+1 redundancy, this hybrid approach ensures commercial-grade reliability and constant uptime while promoting geographical decentralization of the Cardano network. Thousands of delegators trust Digi Pool to help secure the Cardano blockchain by staking their Ada with them.

Digi Pool was established in December 2019 during the launch of the Incentivized Testnet (ITN). From the beginning, Digi Pool has built a stellar reputation for reliability and high performance, consistently providing some of the best returns on stake. As one of the first batch of Cardano Stake Pool Operators (SPOs), Digi Pool seamlessly transitioned its exceptional performance to the Cardano mainnet, minting its first block during epoch 211.

On July 9th, 2024, Digi Pool announced it has upgraded to Cardano Node 9.0.0 and is ready for the Chang Hardfork, the biggest upgrade in Cardano history, which will enable fully decentralized on-chain governance.
