About HEPHY Pool

The HEPHY Stake Pool gets its name from Hephaestus — the Greek god of blacksmiths, metallurgy, artisans, fire, and volcanoes, was renowned for his ability to forge powerful weapons, tools, and intricate items for the gods, embodying the transformative power of fire and craftsmanship; similarly, stake pools on Cardano act as the blockchain’s forges, validating transactions and securing the network. HEPHY is a Single Stake Pool Operator and a member of both the Cardano Single Pool Alliance and the Extra Small Pool Alliance. The Stake Pool Operator (SPO) Ian, has been in the Cardano community since 2018. Three years later Ian decided to challenge himself to give something back to Cardano and learned how to use the Linux OS & operate a Stake Pool on the Cardano Testnet. After nearly a year of testing and learning how to effectively run a stake pool, HEPHY Stake Pool was launched in early 2022.

HEPHY’s Mission

HEPHY Stake Pool’s mission is to contribute to decentralizing Cardano through running a single stake pool on the network. The pool also aims to scale their pledge alongside the ADA delegated to HEPHY, so when the delegation grows, the stake pool operator will also increase the pledge. They aim to provide reliable, high-quality staking services with robust infrastructure, multiple relays, and a Mithril signer. To give something back, they offer infrastructure for the protocol and educational resources for the community, including those yet to join the space. In keeping with the pool’s namesake, they pledge to support charities in the creative industries and the arts.

Delegator Benefits

HEPHY has minted one block during the current epoch, bringing its Lifetime Total Blocks to 27. The Stake Pool has a Lifetime Return on Stake (ROS) of 1.61% and a 2 month ROS of 1.43%. HEPHY is still a growing stake pool and will regularly mint more blocks as the stake increases. The pool recently went from the 95K ADA range to the 270K ADA range, with community support the pool continues to grow and should be regularly producing blocks in the near future.

How to Stake to HEPHY Stake Pool

To stake with HEPHY Stakepool you can either type HEPHY into the staking section of any mobile or desktop wallet or visit the following link: Stake with HEPHY — then press the Join button on the right side of the pool.pm page. You’ll then receive a dapp connection request pop up from your wallet after which you’ll need to sign a transaction to complete the delegation process.
