👋During the AMA of this time, we are so glad to have our CMO Tettey to be with us here. Honestly, it was a really productive night, and Tettey had contributed some deep understandings and thoughtful thoughts in terms of the future of the crypto industry especially the development of NFT & Metaverse. In addition, Tettey also brought us some great great news about some upcoming changes during season 3. So please read the overview down below to have a recap of it.🚀
Q: “What’s next innovations will there be in NFT in gamefi”
A: “As of right now we are witness to one of the biggest technological advances in the modern world as we know it. The leap from web 1.0 to web 2.0 was undoubtably one of the biggest leaps in technology to date. We really got to see how the internet could solve many of the worlds problems and bring billions in revenue to the people. Now we are witnessing that same shift but on a whole other level. Web 3.0 does not only mean that we can have access to digital assets but it means that we can begin to see the middle man or the big companies actually taken out of the equation. To the point where you could have a virtual office space or host a large event or even buy a house all using web 3 technology all peer to peer, no percentages taken by the big banks and you can do it in record time. Now, what will main stream adaptation look like, what new innovations will come and the elephant in the room question, how long will this take. In the end of the day, this technology is bound for mainstream adaptation but with mass adoption comes major road blocks some of these being the fight for centralization from the big governments, banks and companies, the education of web 3 to the general public, the financial barrier for more financially challenged demographics and more.And although these issues are very real that does not change the fact that this technology is important for the world and has a 100% chance of being integrated into our everyday lives in the future. I can’t tell you exactly when mass adoption will happen but when it does come we can expect to see a large amount of jobs moved to the meta verse and almost all traditional entertainment companies moving into the space which will increase the stock of whatever assets you own times 1000. Think of it as investing into the early internet. When it comes to next innovations in gamefi specifically I think we will see a lot to come, we are truly just scratching the surface right now but the vision points towards NFTs being tied in with a virtual world, it will offer a richer experience than the current craze for digital art NFTs. Things such as 3D gameplay, in combination with functional NFTs (bulletproof vests, guns, pets, etc.), and it will revolutionize gaming. Then the obvious next level of innovation is the much anticipated ready player one like world. This is where players will wear vr sets or at that time I see it being more along the lines of contact lenses or brain implants and be able to be in a fully functioning fully immersive gaming experience where real life and gaming will be hard to differentiate. This of course is just in theory but the technology brought around with web 3 makes it possible at some point in the future.”
Q: “Is sustainability important to GameFi from the player’s point of view? Many P2E games are more of a short-term project right now. What are your suggestions for building a sustainable GameFi?”
A: “Sustainability is the most important factor when creating a game, especially a gamefi game. Think of it from strictly the investment stand point when creating a game. Would someone feel comfortable putting in their hard earned money to a game or anything for that matter that they know has no sustainability. I would hope not because then you are setting yourself up for inevitable failure. The goal is to have the longevity of a Call of Duty or a Minecraft or a Roblox. Where your game doesn’t just end at being a fun game for user enjoyment it actually helps shape the industry and turns into a long lasting brand and community that solidifies itself in the gaming industry as a unique and classic game. And I think there is a major issue in the P2E game space right now with projects not having that long term vision and only creating the project for short term reasons such as financials. That’s why I believe in Tap fantasy more than any other game in the space right now. It is a lot more than just an NFT project or Gamefi project, it is a brand and a staple in the gaming industry. I have full confidence because I talk with every member of the team on a day to day basis and we all have one goal in mind, to deliver the best experience for our community as physically possible, that is why we have seasons where we are constantly updating, that is why we are literally letting our community build the game with our no code map editor, that is why we spend follow our road map and make good on our promises to a tee. It is a lot more than just about Gamefi for Tap Fantasy, it is about making the Apple of gaming, be the top and bring our community, you guys, with us all the way. Some things that I think are extremely important to keep in mind when building a sustainable gamefi platform is not just great tokenomics and a solid community and all these things that every single other game has. But to build a fun game and to build the best team possible to create and distribute it, overspend on your team because those are the people that are either gonna care about the project lift it up and make an everlasting brand or not care and run it to the ground. I also think that constant updates along side listening and catering to your community at all times is very important to build sustainability.”
Q: “What is the meaning of metaverse for you, in terms of mass adoption, how far do you think the metaverse has advanced and do you believe that certain aspects of our lives will be switched to the metaverse?”
A: “The meaning of meta verse is literally “a virtual-reality space in which users can interact with a computer-generated environment and other users.” To me the definition of the meta verse is not the actually tangible space that you might perform in, but the underlying technology and the potential that comes along side that. The meta verse is always changing and evolving and will forever remain that way, what the technology means for people is a platform that could change the way we live as a whole. In terms of innovation so far, we have barely scratched the surface of what this technology can do. But it is unbelievably early and this tech is still just a baby so that indicates that there will be a heavy amount of progress in the coming years. I do think that everyday life may be affected by the meta verse kind of the same way that social media and web 2.0 has affected life I.e. most jobs moving to meetings through zoom, most communication is done by email or sms, most research is done on the web, an employer or someone who may have just met you may look at your social media accounts as a kind of resume etc. But I personally don’t think it will go too too much further than that. We are already seeing millions of jobs created online and tons of traffic daily. The only. Next step would be consciousness transfer into a virtual world and I don’t see that becoming present in any of our lifetimes. I think that meta verse jobs will become very real and may even surpass Web 2.0 jobs but for the most part I feel that we will see the same sorts of actual numbers as we see in Web 2.0 today. But keep in mind that web 2.0 is now the foundation of life as we see it, everybody has a phone, half the world has facebook accounts, most things people do in their day to day life has something to do with a form of technology. This trillion dollar industry will all just eventually be integrated onto Web 3 platforms such as, the metaverse.”
Q: “Do you believe the metaverse brings more good than harm, seeing that the public is reacting indecisively?”
A: “I’m gonna sound like a broken record here but I feel that Web 3 technology will bring mostly good compared to web 2.0. The reason I say this is because the world is currently already consumed by social media and technology. I think that regardless of what happens we are too deep into technology dependance to go back to a simpler way of life. What web 3 does is it just makes the experience of technology 1000 x better and provides many more and decentralized ways of using the web, while also providing a whole new angle on digital content, creating the ability to own digital assets makes the barrier of entry to the investment game much easier than ever before. I think that it has the ability to completely take out the middle man, big banks, corporations and government and allows people and especially creatives to get paid fairly for their creations. I think that the reason people see harm in the meta verse is from the movies an mythical stories of robots taking over the world. They are not yet educated on the matter and they have this crazy out of proportion idea that the meta verse will just immediately veer off into the direction of a second world like simulation that people will escape the real world too turning our planet into a dystopian apocalyptic type setting and leaving everyone disconnected from real world interactions. I think that that is very extreme and to have billions of people from all walks of life participate in something like that would take hundreds of years to even begin to entertain the idea. As for the meta verse right now and in our lifetimes yes I think it will bring much more good then harm and for our case which is gaming, it will change the industry for the better times a million.”
Q: “Please let us know some special updates of the game in the next season.”
A: “Yeah so we have a very exciting change on the way with the maximum lvl of the equipment changing to 20! This means that the level 30 equipment will become obsolete so that there will be a level playing field and lower barrier to entry. But you can make it stronger by enhancing it witch is another upgrading system for equipment. Plus, when it goes to lv20, you will not need to combine it to lvl up, only some items will be needed to lvl up. You can now level up your gears to max level 20 and once you reach that level you can then start enhancing but be weary because enhancing can fail. So we are really looking forward to this update as we know that you guys were quite frustrated with the impractical nature of getting to level 30, so watch out for that change in the next season.”
Q: “Thanks for sharing that, that was some great news me and the users would love to be aware of. But is there anything about the new gameplays? I think this is something our players would really wanna know.”
A: “As you all know the land systems will be on the way for this next season and we are very excited for you to start experimenting in this module, one of our most immersive gameplays yet. We will also be unveiling the NFT avatar and wallpapers module which as you know will let the user create their own avatars and wallpapers as NFTs and trade them in the marketplace and will be showcased in game. But I know you’ve heard this same spiel over and over so I want to let you in on something a little bit next level that is sure to perk your ears up. With this new update we will introduce the brand new rune system where players can consume Fantasy Token collect runes and activate the runeset buffs, where you will be able to activate amazing perks and powers. We may even unveil it as an NFT down the road but that is in the works. Oh and by the way, it is permanent so you will be able to keep your progress forever. And last but not least, and my personal favourite update is the Pets system. Now this system is just by far the most innovative and enticing feature to date. In the pets system you can literally hatch and grow a pet and the rarity I.e. power, will vary between pets. These pets will be in the form of NFT’s but anyone can get them and you can actually fight along side you’re pet so think of it as a kind of 4th character that will give you special powers to battle at a more complex level. I think this pets system will completely change the playing field of Tap fantasy and we will start to see some really cool combinations moving forward. Oh and the pets will also not clear between seasons so once you acquire your pets they are your adventure companion forever.”
Q: “Do you have some final thoughts to share with us as the current macro economy is not that promising, and also we are encountering a bear market. So what would you say about that from the perspective of our project”
A “Guys, we are providing you with the most immersive and ever innovating gameplay experience in the meta verse I am so glad that we have this amazing community that sees the value of early gamefi empires like Tap Fantasy. I would relate it to you having a position in Apple in 2000, yes the road is rough and we are in a tough bear market but I see the light at the end of the tunnel and if you stick around through it all you will find yourself positioned at the top of the food chain in the gamefi economy. This is not just some side project or small little game that we are building to make a quick buck. No, but along side the amazing community that you are, we are building an empire and a brand that will change the industry as we know it, I can be sure that if you stick around you will not only see financial success but also be a part of a community that is next to none in terms of strength and power in the industry. I see the vision and I am working day in and day out along side the best of the best in gamefi and if you could see the backend blueprint vision of where we plan to take this platform you would multiply your position by 100. I can’t stress it enough this platform is something to be extremely proud of as a member of this community, we are in it for the long game and have massive plans ahead.
