The most anticipated and long-awaited epic feature “Rune System” will finally go live in season S4. 🔥

In this preview announcement, we will help you understand the “Rune System” in great detail as it will be very effective in PVP next season🚀, so make sure to read this update announcement very carefully and we will take you to step by step through the Rune System in depth!👍

Rune System

Where to find it and how to start?

1. The “Rune Factory” can be found on the map, you can access it by clicking.
2. Surprise! Alice is in the rune factory and she will get you some runes if you get her some magic crystals.
3. Click on “Alechemize” and Alice will get you an unidentified rune core.

Identify the runes

You have to identify 3 times to get a rune that can be equipped.

1. There are 4 characteristics of the runes which are “Pattern”, “Color”, “Shape”, and “Star Levels”.
2. Unidentified rune cores can be turned into equipable “Identified Runes” after 3 identification phases.
3. Each identification phase will randomly determine the strength of the rune by the characteristics it appears to have.
4. The pattern and color of the rune will be identified in phase 1.
5. The shape of the rune will be identified in phase 2.
6. The star levels of the rune will be identified in phase 3.
7. Runes can only be used, another word equipped as long as it goes through all identification processes! Any incomplete runes can’t be equipped but can be listed on the market.

Identification phase 1

1. In identification phase 1, you will identify the pattern and color of the rune. The different pattern means different spell of the runes, and different color means different spell level. The patterns are just different, they do not differ in quality. However, there are 3 types of colors, which are “Blue”, “Purple”, “Gold” and gold will be the best level for the spell and blue will be the least level for the spell.
2. Therefore, once you have got an “Unidentified Rune Core”, you can start the first phase of identification.
3. Simply click on the “Unidentified Rune Core” and click “Identify”.
4. Then you will get a phase 1 identified rune. (See image above)

Identification Phase 2

1. In identification phase 2, you will identify the shape of the rune. There are 3 types of shapes which are quadrilateral, pentagonal, and hexagonal. Different shapes represent different attribute amounts, for example, the hexagonal gives you 3 attributes on the rune whereas the quadrilateral gives you only 1 attribute on the rune.
2. Therefore, click the one we have just identified in phase 1 and click identify again to complete phase 2.
3. Then you will get a phase 2 identified rune. (See image above)

Identification Phase 3

1. In identification phase 3, you will identify the star level of the rune. There are 3 types of star levels which are 1-star, 2-star, and 3-star. The higher the number of stars, the higher the value of the rune’s attributes, and vice versa.
2. Therefore, click the one we have just identified in phase 2 and click identify again to complete phase 3.
3. Then you will get a completed identified rune which you can equip. (See image above)

Transform the runes

You will always have a second chance.

1. What if you are not happy with the rune spell? Then you can try the “Transform” button to change another spell. (See image above)
2. Please notice that the “Transform” function only affects the pattern, which means it will only change the spell of phase 3 identified rune, other characteristics won’t be affected and will remain the same.

Disenchant the runes

The longest journey begins with a single step.

1. You can disenchant the unwanted runes for unique resources that will be something essential.

Trade the runes

Runes in all phases can be traded.

1. Yes! runes in all phases can be traded on the in-game market, this means you can list the completed identified runes or runes identified in phase 1.
2. The “Unidentified Rune Core” can’t be traded on the in-game market, so please remember that.

Equip the runes

Having equipment is not only enough for PVP now in S4.

1. As you can see from the image above, each character can have 3 runes equipped. (See image above)
2. However, a character can’t have 2 runes that have the same pattern!
