Fresh Start

Tapity

This is a really big announcement for us but I‘ll get right to it: Tapity has sold our time tracking business, Hours, to Five Pack Creative. You can read their announcement here. I look forward to watching Five Pack’s team of over 40 developers grow the product and business and wish them the best in doing so.

What a journey. We’ve been working on Hours for almost five years and it is by far our most successful and rewarding endeavor as a company. I am so proud of what our team has been able to accomplish and thank them for all the incredible work.

To all the mentors, journalists, and fans who gave the advice, promotion, and support that brought Hours to this stage: thank you!

And finally, special thanks to my dear wife Mindy, who has endured so many nights and weekends of me working like crazy to build this business and, while juggling pregnancy and (now) two kids, supported me all the way.

So…

Since Hours was Tapity’s primary focus for the last few years, the big question is, what now? We are really excited about that, but our next big thing is worthy of its own announcement, which will come a little later. For now, I’ll tell you that it’s related to helping others build successful apps and is going to be really unique.

If you are a startup, investor, designer, developer, or someone interested in the app space, follow the brand new Tapity Medium blog to be the first to hear about what we have in the works.
