Tapjoy’s Emily McInerney Wins MMA Smarties Award for Galvanizing the Industry Around Games

At Tapjoy, we’ve spent the last decade delivering maximum impact for our clients, whether it’s advertisers looking to engage mobile audiences or developers seeking to monetize their apps. That’s why we are particularly excited to announce that our VP of Marketing, Emily McInerney, won the “Impact Award” at this week’s Global and North American Smarties Awards ceremony hosted by the Mobile Marketing Association in New York City.

The MMA Smarties Awards is the world’s only global mobile marketing awards program honoring innovation, creativity, and success in mobile marketing. It’s a celebration of talent and ingenuity recognizing the best that mobile marketing has to offer, and we couldn’t be more proud that Emily is among this year’s honorees.

Emily was honored by for her efforts in galvanizing industry thought leadership around mobile gaming and the category’s endless possibilities for marketers. She helped create a Mobile Games program within the MMA, involving several other prestigious committee members such as Electronic Arts, Google, AppsFlyer, TAB, and others.

The mission of the Mobile Games Program of the MMA is to explore how brands and marketers can best connect with consumers in this unique environment, keeping the attention on providing a positive consumer experience that adds value to the entire ecosystem. The program will focus on best practices for driving consumer engagement, conversions and brand uplift through sponsored content, native ads, value-exchange ads, contextual ads and more.

The committee is currently hard at work developing content to offer marketers best practices for advertising within mobile games, as well as important details about the mobile gaming audience, including their demographics, psychographics and behavioral characteristics. If you’d like to join the committee, you can download the program’s Strategic Framework here and email the MMA to let them know you’re interested.

Congrats to Emily for helping make the MMA Games Program such a success to date, and congrats to all of our fellow Smarties Award winners at this year’s celebration of talent
