State of the network as of May 5, 2024:

  • 2.032 billion TARA staked and delegated
  • 77 active consensus nodes on the Mainnet
  • 2,704 active consensus nodes on the Testnet
  • 10,345 unique wallet addresses on the Mainnet

Ecosystem Highlights:

  • All components of the Ficus Root Bridge have been built and deployed as development enters the end to end testing phase, with an audit scheduled in May. We are still on track to deliver by the end of June (end of 2Q 2024), but security remains the overriding priority over delivery the timeline.
  • Taraxa’s TinkerFest Hackathon launched with a BANG! The dev team put together a rich lineup of workshops to help guide & onboard hackers to be able to successfully build on the Taraxa network.
  • Aspen Upgrade has fully taken effect on Taraxa’s mainnet, effectively capping the maximum supply of $TARA to 12bn, and has been officially supported by both CoinMarketCap and CoinGecko
  • In addition to capping the overall supply, the Aspen Upgrade also made staking yields across validators much fairer.
  • We are continuing with our monthly Progress Update / AMA, on the second Thursday of every month, 12pm UTC. In April we primarily covered the development progress of the Ficus Root Bridge: tl;dr it’s on track!
  • TrendSpotter, the first AI agent deployed on Taraxa’s Echo platform, is entering a closed Alpha. In a nutshell, TrendSpotter generates social signals to help you time your trades! There’s still time to get in! Check out a summary of our AMA with the TrendSpotter team.
  • Be on the lookout for Echo, a DePIN for AI platform built on top of Taraxa that the dev team has been working on for many years founded on a highly unique social dataset that doesn’t exist anywhere else!
