Daily Tarot Reading — January 22, 2023
In this series, I’m performing a tarot reading each day to learn to read tarot cards and work more with my intuition. Here I’ll write down my readings and share them here.
It’s becoming more comfortable now to hold the deck, shuffle and pick a card. And since I’ve also started to do practice readings, I can see that my confidence with the cards is improving. I think just like with anything else, the more you work with something, the easier it gets and the more comfortable you are with it.
Today’s shuffle wasn’t as good as it had been yesterday. The cards felt stiff again. I’ll definitely need to do some more shuffling with this deck. Despite that, I was able to shuffle them and the card that was given to me for today’s reading was The Chariot.
When I see the chariot, It strikes me as odd because in the Rider-Waite-Smith deck, the chariot doesn’t seem to be the star of the image. Anyway, the card depicts a man in a chariot wearing full armor. He has a wand or scepter in his right hand and a crown on his head. On the front of the chariot is a depiction of wings. There is a city in the background, not very far away. It’s almost as if the chariot is right outside of the city. There are two sphinx-like creatures, one black, and the other white at the front of the chariot. There are no reins through which you might control this chariot. So it leads me to believe that the chariot driver is in control of this vessel in some other way. Perhaps he has a mastery over it with his mind or perhaps so in tune with the creatures that pull the chariot that they seem to do his will without the need for the physical cue of reins.
So what I get is that something or someone is ready to go. Either it’s a person all dressed up and ready to go, a project ready to get off the ground, or a journey ready to be taken. Whatever it is, it’s ready. Everything is set in its place. All that’s needed is the command to go. The decision to take it from a resting position into action. There is confidence in this, But there is also an understanding that there is some kind of mastery needed in order for this venture to be successful. Here I don’t feel a sense of trepidation in that. I feel that it’s a healthy amount of respect for the understanding of that mastery. Not a feeling of shirking from it but rising to it and knowing that that’s what it’s going to take for this thing to be successful. Doing the hard work. Going the extra mile because that’s what is needed. And don’t skip leg day just because there’s something good on tv.
That’s my reading for today. If you enjoyed it please let me know by leaving a comment. And if you’d like to support what I do, consider dropping a tip using the button below. Thanks again and make good choices.
