Here we are at the beginning of a new month. I hope you’re having a great week and that the new month will treat you well. Let’s dive in and see what the cards tell us about today.

Our first card is The World. This is the last card in the Major Arcana. And the last card of the fool’s journey. The card shows a woman in the middle of the card floating in mid-air. She holds a rod in each hand, similar to the rod held by the magician. But She has two of them. Surrounding her is a giant wreath with red ribbons at the top and bottom. If you could see the whole ribbon, it would look like an infinity symbol. In each of the card’s four corners is an animal’s head. Starting in the top left corner and going clockwise, we see a person’s head, an eagle, a lion, and a bull. These are symbols of the four fixed signs on the zodiac. Aquarius, Scorpio, Leo, and Taurus.

This card is all about the completion of a cycle. There is great joy in this completion. The woman is dancing as she celebrates. The wreath and the ribbons are all infinity symbols that tell us that as one cycle ends, another begins. Endings are just bringing something else, which makes perfect sense for today. One month has ended, and the other begins. We say goodbye to February and hello to March. We welcome the new cycle and hope it brings us more joy and good fortune. This is also a card of success and good fortune. All is right in our world now — success, happiness, harmony. We are at peace with ourselves. And we look forward to the possibilities to come.

Our next card is our advice card. The Five of Swords shows a man holding two swords in his left hand while he leans on another in his right. There are two more swords on the ground. A man walks away, looking to console a third man who appears to be holding his head.

Five are all about chaos and destruction. And this card shows a man who has bested another man. But I don’t feel like he did fairly. The man in the foreground has tricked the other man. And it feels to me like it was done out of spite or jealousy. Being in the position of an advice card, this care doesn’t tell us that this will happen. Instead, it tells us to be careful. To be wary of those who will steal your joy. We’re in a good place right now. We’re feeling successful and looking forward to what the day brings us. Don’t let someone who’s feeling down drag you down as well. So many times, we allow ourselves to get pulled down into someone else’s depression. Someone else’s sadness, and we end up being sad ourselves. And sometimes you’ll find people who aren’t happy and can’t stand it when they’re alone in their sadness, so they’ll bring you down with them, so they aren’t alone. It would be nice to bring someone like that up with us. But often, that doesn’t work. They want to be unhappy. They might not know that, but that’s what it is. They choose it. And you can choose not to let them get you down.

The takeaway card for today is Justice. She sits on a throne between two pillars with a red curtain behind her. Very similar to the high priestess card. She holds a sword in her right hand and scales in the other. Her robes are red with a green cap and scarf. She has a stern look on her face.

I often think of how serious she is when I see this card. The lady doesn’t mess around. If she sees something wrong, that sword will be swinging! She’s tough, but she’s also fair. She’ll kick your butt if you need it. And you’ll notice that she isn’t blindfolded here. In contemporary forms of justice, she wears a blindfold to indicate that she only sees the truth. In this version of justice, her eyes are wide open. She sees all and will do what she needs to do.

As a takeaway card, there are some interesting questions to ask ourselves. How do we feel about this idea of justice? Does it help us? Does it hurt us? I would also look at the Justice card and see how it might relate to the five of swords. What kind of justice should there be for someone who beats another person by deceit and trickery? Does the victim deserve it? Or should the benefactor of the trick pay for what he has done? And what form would that come? Should we let karma take care of it or take action? These are questions only you can answer for yourself. But spend the day thinking about these ideas. And see where they take you. But do remember to celebrate today, and don’t let anyone steal your thunder.

Thanks for reading. If this resonated with you today, please leave a comment and let me know. If it didn’t, consider sharing this with a friend who might need to hear this message today. Thanks again, and have a great day!
