Introspection seems to be a theme for today.

Welcome friends. I’m using the Focus, Embrace, Release spread I’ve used for daily readings for the past few weeks. I’m finding this spread cuts to the chase and gets to the heart of what we should focus on. Of course, with anything in tarot, take what resonates, and leave what doesn’t. If it doesn’t work for you, that’s ok.

Today’s cards have a lot to say about the idea of introspection. With that being said, let’s dive into the cards.

Our first card showing us what energy to focus on for today is The Hermit.

The Hermit represents solitude, introspection, and wisdom.

This card shows an older man wearing long grey robes. He holds a gold walking stick and a lantern to light his way. However, you’ll notice that he doesn’t seem to be looking up but looking down at the ground in front of him. He might be standing at the top of a mountain or something similar.

Often I would go up to the top of a mountain to think about my life and ask the universe for guidance. It was always easier to hear my higher self when I was on a mountain, staring at an amazing view of the land below. And that’s exactly what this card is about. The Hermit in this card is doing some soul-searching and looking inward to find answers. The lantern lights his way only enough so that he can see where he’s going, but where he is or where he’s going is of no concern to him. HE is wandering to get away and hear his inner voice. And so this card asks us to do the same today. TO focus on our inner voice. To close our eyes and pay attention to what we need for today. What messages is our high self telling us that we often miss because we’re not paying attention. Spend time in a quiet space today and pay attention to those messages. See what messages you receive.

Our next card echoes our first card a little bit. The Four of Cups give us a sense of what we should embrace today.

We see a man sitting under a tree with three cups on the ground before him. A hand from a cloud I saw handing him another cup. The man’s arms are crossed, and he appears deep in thought, meditation, or perhaps sleep. He doesn’t see the hand offering another cup.

The Four of Cups represents contemplation, introspection, and emotional detachment.

When I see this card, I see someone who needs to recharge his energy. He’s drained. He’s given all he can. His cups are empty, and he needs to fill them up again. So he’s doing just that and taking a break to recharge. However, the universe is offering him another cup and adding capacity to his existing set of cups. He still needs to fill up this new cup and his other cups. But once he does that, he should be back on and going strong again.

For us, this card asks us to take a break today. Spend some time recharging our energy. This doesn’t necessarily have to be in the form of sleep, meditation, or rest. Anything you can do that helps you restore your energy is what you should embrace today. If that means penguin time with friends or family, go for it. If it means going for a walk in nature, do that. And if it means sitting in a quiet space reflecting on our inner voice and seeking messages from the universe, then that is what you do. However, you choose to recharge, do you, my friend.

Our last card shows us something that we can release today. Something that we can let go of. That card is the Page of Pentacles.

In the Page of Pentacles, we see a young man standing in a field wearing a green tunic, orange leggings, and boots, a red hat or scarf. He holds in his hand a pentacle. The sky is yellow, indicating optimism and hope. The page can be seen as a kind of student. He is going through life, learning new things, and experiencing the world as he learns more about life. He examines the things he comes across. And here we see him in the middle of examining a pentacle.

The Page of Pentacles represents the energy of curiosity and learning.

This card also helps us see that rest is in order. As a card of release, this card asks us to put aside our studies or work for the day. If you’re in the middle of a research project or just looking up things to gain more knowledge lately. Today is the day to put that down, just for today. You can always pick it back up tomorrow. For now, take a break from your studies. What should you do with your time instead? Go back to the Hermit card and seek your inner voice or take a break, relax, and rest your mind. Today’s cards are about taking a break and spending this time on yourself and your relationship with yourself. You’ll be glad that you did.

Thanks for reading, my friends. If you enjoyed today’s reading or if it resonated with you, please let me know by commenting. I always love hearing from my readers and how they connect to these messages. If it didn’t resonate with you, that’s ok. Consider being a messenger and sharing this with a friend or loved one who might need to hear this today.

Thanks again for reading, and have a great day!
